Might as well update

So my subscription is almost up. I won't be renewing. I just don't really use dA enough anymore to justify it. Alot of the new policies are crap, I've gained very little by way of critique or recognition through it when I have used it, and I'm growing sick of some of the people. A hint kids: slapping the word Steampunk on your work is not a fucking excuse to leave it sloppy and unfinished.

As of March 13 I'm finally legally a small business owner, not that it means much. So far it's been alot of setting up wholesale accounts and spending money I really don't have. Oh, and having potential clients flake out on me for no real reason. I have had a few clients who have been absolutely wonderful, supportive, and extremely understanding of the many little gremlins that gunk up the works of a fledgling business, so if any of you see this, know that you guys rock.

Wow, I accidentally found you... I met you at Midreign in your leathercarving class. Now I can stalk you online<_<. Thanks for the great lesson. I'm seriously thinking of going out and buying a bunch of tools.

Don't expect to see too much, I've become really lazy about updating dA.

Oh, and if you want to go get tools, May will be the time to get the adjustable swivel knife, cause LF/Tandy is having a sale and they're going to be $8.99 until the sale ends on May 30th.

And like I said before, any time you guys can make it up to Tampa I'd be glad to teach you just about anything you want to know about leather, cause I pretty much enjoy teaching and it's nice to have a student who actually gives a damn.

You're very, very welcome. That was probably the coolest pincushion I've ever seen. And the little details put it over the top... the rise on his collar, the stitching to represent the criss-crossed pattern cut into his flesh... without those it could have been anything, but you went the extra mile to make it unmistakable.

It's even got me considering trying to make one of my own.

My boyfriend told me i should put a nose and mouth on him...but after a little survey people said that he was so recognizable without them, so i just left them off...makes him kind cute :D

I agree with the survey results. At that scale it would have been hard to get a suitably good Pinhead expression. Besides, like you said, he's cute as is in that anime chibi sort of way.
