A mug I made to sell, as well as practice some techniques. I just haven't gotten around to actually trying to sell it yet (will entertain all serious offers) and need to either find a place to market it or put it up on ebay.
As always, hand tooled and sealed to hold liquid and resist temperatures... so no worries about cracking the lining with cold drinks or melting it with hot, both typical banes of wax sealed mugs.
*EDIT* SOLD! And for my original asking price of $80
This one looks great too. I like the skull design you did.
It's probably a matter of personal preference, but I think that skull would have looked nice with the green textured background from your "Mug for Steph"
I thought about texturing the background, but I was focusing on the blending technique and I was concerned the heavy texturing would detract from it some. The idea was to make it look more like it was coming forth from the leather, but some of the finer uncut tooling swelled when I applied the dye to the surface. If I had waited until I had my compressor set up and air brushed it, that wouldn't have been an issue, but I was impatient to finish it.

LOL... imagine how more colorful my inbox would be if everyone was that enthusiastic when commenting
Yeah, mugs have pretty much become my signature item in my leather working business (since that's what I receive the most orders for)... I'd have more up, but I'm really forgetful/lazy about taking and posting pictures before I ship them.

Can imagine that it is very popular among the LARP crowd as well. Perhaps some with the Alliance or Horde logo for the World of Warcraft folks? Really pretty stuff and yeah, make pictures! That's an order!
Oddly, they don't sell as well to the local LARP crowds as you'd think (or as I'd like). But that's because there's an extreme DIY ethic with American LARPers who rarely buy anything (even things they lack the skills to make)
I've considered doing a set with the race icons from WoW (especially the Forsaken icon because I love that one with the mask & arrows), but there are legal issues with selling them, and I don't have much use for that many mugs sitting about (cause once I did one, I'd have to do them all).
